Incoming President Kirchner Seeks Allies After Default Win

BUENOS AIRES, May 15, 2003 (Reuters) -  With just 10 days to go before he becomes Argentina's president, Nestor Kirchner will set about scouring for alliances vital to ensure he has the support needed to rebuild this shattered economy. Handed the presidency on Wednesday after ex-President Carlos Menem quit the race to avoid a humiliating defeat, analysts say that center-left Gov. Kirchner urgently needs to build consensus after being denied a popular mandate.
